What’s in a name – a kuzhi by any other name is a kuzhi

You have to hand it to our authorities – they really are thoughtful – how else would you explain this:

We TVM-ites have been lucky to be blessed with place names like Murinya palam (translates to bruised bridge), pottakuzhi (translates to bad crater) etc. We are even luckier to be blessed with authorities who ensure that the names of the places match reality. If you have been to these 2 places recently (or for that matter any time in the past 10 years) you will see for yourself that the bridge is indeed broken and the road is indeed full of craters.
